This week, you’re hearing part one of my conversation with my friend and colleague, Alex Ray. Alex is the Queer Confident Coach who helps LGBTQIA+ people stand up for themselves and enjoy being their authentic selves, and he’s also a member and instructor inside Joyful Marketing who holds monthly coaching calls for our LGBTQIA+ community.

Something both of us get questions about often is how to create a safe space in a non-performative way. As someone who exudes the kind of power that comes from knowing and loving himself deeply, therefore being able to truly care for others, Alex is the perfect person to discuss this topic with, and we’re both being honest about how we’ve unwittingly held up coaching containers in the past that were toxic.

Join us today as Alex and I dive headfirst into the harm we’ve done in our coaching containers, and why it can be so insidious and difficult to notice as it’s happening. We’re sharing why creating a safe space and exercising accountability isn’t just a strategy but a way of being, and make sure to join us tomorrow for part two to discover how to explore your own role within this context.

If you want to dive deeper and do the work of unearthing what makes you unique, and you want a step-by-step process for showing up in a way where people look to you as the authority and expert, whether without a niche or a very specific one, I would love to invite you to join my marketing training program, Joyful Marketing. Click here to find out more and I can’t wait to see you in there!
