I don’t know about you, but I rushed straight to the theaters to watch the Barbie movie when it came out. Everywhere we look there seems to be all things Barbie and pink, and it’s a bit much even for me. However, America Ferrera’s character’s monologue in the movie inspired something in me that I need to share with those of you who identify as women entrepreneurs.

If you’ve ever felt exhausted by all the wildly contrasting and unrealistic expectations you feel like you’re being held to, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. The truth is we are set up to meet impossible standards, and it got me thinking about how this applies specifically to women in entrepreneurship.

Join me this week to hear my own list of impossible standards women entrepreneurs are expected to meet with a few contributions from all of you too. I hope hearing this list is liberating and illuminating as we let the patriarchy crumble one step at a time by boycotting unrealistic standards.

If you’re looking for a one-stop shop to find the best of my teachings organized into a beautiful actionable sequence, I got you. I took the best of my episodes and created a whole damn workbook around them: The Simone Starter Pack. It’s the ultimate marketing cheat sheet. What are you waiting for? Grab it now!

What You’ll Learn from this Episode:

  • A line of thought that the Barbie movie inspired in me.

  • My take on how this applies to women entrepreneurs.

  • How the patriarchy holds women to unrealistic standards.
